Academy Of Community Music Inc

The Academy of Community Music is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1983 by Philadelphia Orchestra violinist Robert dePasquale and his wife, Ellen Fisher, in order to bring the benefits of shared musical experience to children and parents without regard to economic circumstance or cognitive or physical disability. In its current mission statement, the Academy seeks not only to develop musical promise, but to develop human potential through music; is committed to serving people who face the challenges of cognitive and physical disability, aging, and economic disadvantage; and uses music to strengthen families and communities by involving parents in the development of their children and by reaching out to people in their own neighborhoods. The Academy has not changed in purpose, character, or method of operation since our IRS tax letter was issues in 1983.
